This week happened something very important in the world, because I listedned that a lot of important cities are turn off the lights, just like an example in the United States citise like Phoenix and St. Francisco did it.
This action was started by goverment of some contries and the main reason is stop the damage to the enviroment and promove to the people for repeat the same action.
I think that it´s clear that in the last times the enviroment is going wrong and that maybe this is not the complete solution but we can start in this way because finally we have been who cause all this damage

The world "News" is a plural word ( you wrote new) and you use it always with a singular verb (is-in this case). This news is really interesting and I liked your comments. At the begining you missed mentioning who is turning the light off, may be citizens, inhabitants, people living in some cities of USA are turning lights off....understand?
